Nowadays, in many major cities, the number of homeless people is increasing. I think this happens due to the low salaries and high real estate prices. I see only one solution of this problem, which is associated with the government.
Today, many individuals have problems with their place of residence, namely, they do not have one. And I think there are two reasons for this problem, which is related to each other. In today’s world, the price of real estate is extremely high, while the salaries are extremely low. That is why numerous of people now suffer from housing problems. For instance, there are so many situations where a large family cannot afford a house or flat for a living, even if the father and mother working in well-paid jobs. Likewise, students or merely young people who cannot even afford to rent a house due to the high costs.
Only government can solve this question by increasing salaries and creating discounts on housing depending on a person’s income. I think that the government should take these measures if they want to decrease the number of homelessness. For example, there are plenty of professions that are badly-paid, like teaching, and that is the main reason why people start working in two or three jobs just to have enough money to afford a place where they can live. Therefore, the government should make the housing prices depend on income of individuals
To sum up, the problem of homelessness is connected only with the fact that people’s income often does not allow them to buy or rent an apartment. To find the solution, the government should take control of this problem.
