Some of the population argues that vacant areas can be functionalized to build housing facilities, while others opt to turn it into parks, making a better environment by planting greeneries. From my views, I strongly disagree with the utilization for housing which is not merely important in the industrial manufacturing growth that contaminated our air, health, and surroundings. Therefore, I will focus on discussing the reason I completely agree on making parks and how our cities need a lush greenery space to breathe and grow.
Firstly, parks provide a healthy open space to exercise and play in the middle of massive construction. Imagine living in a town where all the areas are covered with buildings, leaving no field for trees to grow which means there is no place to relax and breathe fresh air. For instance, Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, already made an initiative by changing several left commuting areas to parks in the middle of the main office arena. With this information in mind, changing an unusable spot to a garden is valuable and brings big improvement to our health.
Second, trees are important to be grown in the parks so they can produce oxygen, bringing us a much better environment. In their natural behavior, trees take carbon dioxide from pollution. This is supported by the evidence that Indonesia still has a good quality of air that accounts for many green climates we preserve. Subsequently, our polluted air will decrease and there is an upward amount of oxygens for us to breathe.
I will conclude that turning cavant areas into parks is more excellent due to the healthy space and the rising number of oxygens from trees. I firmly assert that the parks should be built rather than housing facilities considering the important benefit from planting trees.
