It is evident that the ecosystem is signifcantly influenced by human activities, causing many animals and plants to be on the verge of extinct and the dissapearance of biodiversity. While there are several reasons behind this trend, some solultions can be proposed to solve this issue.
On the one hand, there are two root causes why human activities result in the loss of biodiversity. Firtsly, the purpose of habitat destruction is to create more spaces for human development. For instance, forest, which are the enviroment for thousands of species, are being cut down to build luxury resorts or departments for tourism purposes. Besdies, some animals must migrate to other places to surive. Secondly, instead of using endangered species for pharmaceutical purposes, they are being poached for profit-making goals. For example, dozens of croccodile have been killed because manufactures want to use their skin to produce items such as handbag or jacket, and then sell them at very high price.
On the other hand, several measures can be taken to solve this problem. Gorvernments can stricter laws and punishment, acting as a deterent to prevent illegal behaviours. They can also raise people’s awareness through environmental programs or campaigns so that individuals may understand and respect the natural world. Besies, people can maintain an eco-friendly lifestyle by consume less derived products such as fox fur coats, crocodile skin handbag, contributing to prevent poaching and wildlife trade.
In conclusion, human activities are the reason for the extinction of species and biodiversity loss, but this issue can be tackled thanks to the responsibilities of both governments and individuals.
