In era of modernity, globalization, inflation and technology, importance of utilizing funds of government has always been debatable with some people claim that investments in sports development is beneficial, while some people reject this notion and highlight its demerits first and consider investments in public services more beneficial. This essay will further elaborate my opinion of best utilization of funds, whether in sport or in public services.
In my opinion, investments should be balanced in both sports and public services because both of the fields have their own importance. To discuss positive insights of investments in sports, this field is getting popular every day. Developed countries like Australia, USA and many countries of Europe are making huge revenues from their sports department. Hence, one of the major positive impact of sports is financial gain.If a country have good infrastructure of stadiums, it can host international events and generate revenue. Investments on sports persons of the country help them to represent their country on an international rostrum. Moreover, development in sport department gives an opportunity of employment. Furthermore, providing well organized grounds and equipments to the youth of country help them to grow physical and make them mentally strong. Apart from the advantages, we can not ignore the cons of spending major proportion budget of government in the sports. It should be
Along with sports, investment in public services should be considered equally important. Governments should spend high amount out of their budget in institutions of health care, education, and all other useful departments who are meant to serve public. Successful development of a country depends upon the satisfaction of their people.
To conclude arguments aforementioned above, one can reach to the gist that investment in public services should be prioritized on sports. But, it does not mean to ignore pros of investments in sports. Government should allocate proportion of budget to public services along with sports. Hence, I partially agree to the given statement because spending in sports should be less then investments in public service sector.
