There is no room for doubt that in this contemporary society, electronic appliances play an important role in our lives. Indeed, one topic that, to an extent, has raised worldwide controversy is whether the problems outweigh the benefits of mobile phones. Some people think that technology equipment bring many benefits for society, while I state that they cause a lot of drawbacks.
On the one hand, in this modern era, technology brings many conveniences. First of all, work efficiency is significantly improved thanks to the benefits of modern equipment. This is true for me. Thanks to useful applications, my learning process become more time efficient, thereby improving my efficiency and helping me achieve many high scores. Moreover, mobile phones can easily promote and facilitate communication between people and others. Clearly, thanks to modern technology, staying connected with people who lives far away is no longer difficult. For example, international students who have to live apart from their families. Without these devices, keeping in touch with their own relatives will become impossible.
On the other hand, despite many advantages, the disadvantages of electronic devices are numerous. Firstly, our health is greatly affected by exposure to electronic devices. Obviously, with an increasing popularity of mobile phones, people have a lot of contact with devices that are very harmful to their vision and spinal posture, even sleep and mental health. It is true for my neighbor’s daughter. She is a third grader and is allowed to use a phone for entertainment a lot. Consequently, she is nearsighted and has to wear very thick glasses which not only prevent her from live comfortably like others, but it also costs a lot of money for treatment. Furthermore, modern applications lead to a lot of negativity on social networks. For instance, the girl on social networks receives negative criticism and is bullied online, which makes her stressed and depressed. As a result, she cannot stand it anymore and decides to take her own life.
In conclusion, this outstanding matter has sparked several opposing opinions about this statement. As far as I am concerned, high tech devices can bring many conveniences if we know how to use them properly and vice versa.
