Migration is a historical phenomenon that has generated several debates. I agree that it has more positive impacts than negative. In my opinion, when the countries manage the immigration properly it is beneficial for both the origin and the host country. I feel this way for two reasons, which I will develop in the following essay.
First of all, from my point of view the most important benefit is the economy, given that people integrate into the laboral market and they occupy different jobs. In addition, when the immigrants have studied in their origin country and have soft skills they improve competitiveness in the host country, as a result enterprises save on training and workforce generation costs.I work in a technological area I am a software developer and by my own experience I can say that the migration of professionals is of great importance, I have had colleagues and friends from Venezuela, Cuba, Peru who have done an excellent work and have helped to expand different institutional sectors. Evidently they say that if they have a stable job they can invest just like a native because they want to buy a house, a car, food, among other services, thus the money moves in the local economy.
Secondly, immigrants bring with them wishes to social innovation hence the local communities end up benefiting. Migration is related with the social transformation therefore its consequences will affect positively to the local environment, from a holistic view migration marks a cultural diversification so the host countries are becoming spaces full of customs, new ideas and other key elements which are configuring the migration nowadays. For instance In the lasts years to Ecuador has been arrived a lot of migrants from Venezuela and these people have been integrated to our social environment, they all brought their costumes, culture and so on, as far as I now some of them had the opportunity to create new businesses like as restaurants, others work with art and adding new ideas for their customers, in my experience I can say that I am studying English and I have shared and spent time with teachers and classmates not only from Venezuela but also from other parts of the world such us Gana, Nigeria, Argentine, The United States of America, among others, and I feel that clearly they are integrated.
To conclude, I can say that I agree that Immigration has more positive impacts on a country than negative ones. This is because immigration helps to improve the economy, and because immigrants help to social transformation.
