Elder age is most difficult stage of life as people needs more care and attention. but, the care of elder citizen has become a controversial issue among government and the families. I personally believe that mutual funding is essential for their care. In this essay i will elaborate both views along with my opinion in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, elder people has spends their whole life and money for their kids and family in order to provide them better education, food, and health amenities. Unfortunately, during the last period of their life they have to begging for their care in front of their own family but in reality it is the obligation of their family to provide care and better medical help to their elder parents.
Secondly, during their young age elder citizens had paid taxes to the government while working in different sectors that might be private or public. Government should built old age homes in every city for these people and pay for their care. For example, in most of the developing and developed countries every city has three to four or more old age homes and government also pay pension to elders so they do not need to rely on others hand. This could make families free from the burden of their elders care expenses.
In conclusion, I believe that elders should be taken care by both families and the government. government should pay their expenses and families should visit to see their elder very often so they can be enjoyed the last stage of their by not being a burden for their children and families.
