Promotion plays crucial role in appreciating the employees at workplace. Advancement to upper level should be inside the organization and not from the new hiring. I strongly agree with this statement that upgrading the employee within the company is great idea because earlier worker already know the system of the job and duties. Additionally, it is a quick process to cover up the higher position as compared to initiate the new hiring process.
First of all, if an employee is already working within the team and got offer from the company to move to higher level it is good suggestion, because they already know how to perform daily tasks and should have good bondings with other people. For instance, a recent study by Harvard Business Review revealed that internally promoted employees adapt to their roles 50% faster than external hires due to their existing familiarity with the roles in the office. Consequently, this seamless transition not only minimizes operational downtime also fosters a more stable and motivated workforce, ultimately driving overall organizational success.
Furthermore, prioritizing internal candidates drastically reduces the time required to fill out the new position compared to the lengthy process of external recruitment because all trainings and hiring documents already submitted when they got hired initially which leads to reduce the steps for human resources department. To illustrate, recent market data indicates that external recruitment typically upwards three months to finalize, whereas internal transfers executed in a few days. Ultimately, this system will bypass multi-tiered interviews and background checks and helps the higher authorities to cover up the workload with less disruption.
In conclusion, I completely support prioritizing internal promotions over external requirement because it will save valuable time and motivate other employees. Therefore, while hiring from external makes process longer and costly due to trainings, background data checks and many more. So, it widely provides strength to the company for the smooth transition.
