Band 4+: In many cities, local governments are removing public benches and seating areas to discourage people from loitering. What are the reasons for this trend? Do you think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In recent years, some local authorities have decided to removing public benches and seating areas, in order yo discourage people from loitering. This trend has raised concerns about antisocial behavior. Although this measure may have cartain advantages, I believe that its drawbacks outweigh its benefits.

The main reasons for this trend is that local governments aim to antisocial behaivor. This is because some people occupy public places for a long time. For example, some teens can spend their free time with big companies for a long time.As a result, there may be boise, conflicts and complaints from residents. Another possible reason is that, public facilities can get damaged or get dirty. Governments should repair and replace benches. This is because If benches are repaired, maintennance cost will dicline.

Despite these potential benefits, removing public benches can have several negative resons. One major drawback is that removing public benches fail to address the root causes. This is not practiculary problematic for noisy teens, as the move to other public areas. For instanse, when behches are removed, they find other places, while ordinary residents can not relax. Furthermore this is practiculary problematic for elder residents and people with limited mobility, as they need breaks.

In conslusion, although removing public benches may help local autorities aim antisocial behaivor, I believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages because it can be problem for elder residents or people with limited mobility and it can not help to noisy teens because they can find other places for their companies
