In many parts of the world people from rural areas tend to travel to urban areas which is the cause of shrinking population in the countryside. In my opinion, it is a positive development which leads people to have many more opportunities in job and education fields. This essay will discuss both views and explain why I believe urbanization has more advantages than disadvantages.
Most people from the countryside decide to move to a metropolis to have more job opportunities and develop their life conditions. It is caused by big companies usually based in cities and their main customers and workers living in urban areas. For instance, cities have many more employer offers with sufficient salary to live conveniently and have a lot of schools which provide great knowledge for childrens. Furthermore, urbanization leads to an increased taxpayer that has a crucial impact on the local economy.
Despite the positive aspects, urbanization has a negative effect directly on the cities. Main problem caused by this development is overpopulation and environmental issues. Due to the overpopulation urban areas have traffic congestion caused by the increasing number of vehicles on the road. Additionally, car emissions led to air pollution problems, and it has drawbacks to the health care of citizens. Moreover, the reduction of population in rural areas has been a problem of emptiness of land and will have problems with occupation in agriculture.
To conclude, the population in rural areas is decreasing and the majority of people have keen interest in moving to cities due to the educational opportunities and opportunities to enhance life standards. In my opinion, I believe that urbanization has more beneficial influences than drawbacks.
