It is no secret that nowadays more and more people move from living in the countryside to living in cities. It can be tricky to determine whether that is a good thing or not, I believe there are two main ways to look at it . The first one is about the quality of life and personal development. While not accepted by everyone, it is generally agreed that cities are more comfortable than countryside. The infrastructure is much more developed allowing for easier access to things like electricity, clean water, warming in colder seasons. There are more ways for entertainment such as parks or cinemas. I also think that there are more opportunities for self development in cities, quality of education is usually higher, it is easier to meet new people and there are certainly more ways to earn money. The other one is about the benefits of countryside to society overall. I think that there are ways in which it is imperative to the way most countries function right now. While cities operate on a higher scale of economy than rural areas, they still produce many fundamental things. Primarily it is different sorts of food, majority of crops and meat is produced there. No matter how highly developed a city is, there is nothing it can do without sufficient amounts of food. However, it is not as big of a problem as it may seem. While farms that are owned by a single person or small communities do make an impact, many large food production companies make an even bigger one. As long as people move gradually, this issue should not cause any devastating effects. Because of those reasons I hold the opinion that as long as the change doesnt happen too suddenly, it will be positive. More people will have better lifes and society will develop at a faster rate, though there will always be those who prefer to live in the small and quiet countryside.
