This can increase public trust because people can see discussions and decisions directly. It may also encourage public officials to behave more responsibly, knowing that their actions are visible to the public.
Another important benefit is greater accessibility. People who are unable to attend an event because of distance, work, disability, or financial limitations can watch it from home. This is particularly valuable in large countries where travelling to government events may be difficult. Online broadcasts can also be recorded, allowing people to watch important discussions at a convenient time.
