Around the globe, majority of shcools have made uniforms compulsory for students. While this could be benifical as this will ingrain a sense of equality among school children. On contrary, this also adversly affects the fashion sense among kids. In my view, youngsters should be allowed to express freely.
According to scholars, equality is one of the crucial quality for children to be taught at young age. There are several reasons by which parent cannot afford an exorbitant clothing for their offsprings. This uniformity is a crucial step in maintaining this sense of equality by avoiding any sense of privilage. For example, a paper from University of Cambridge has surveyed adolecents across London, which concluded that only 5% of them feel underprivilaged when compared to their peers.
On the other hand, Clothing is a way to show your personality in society. Allowing youngsters to decide what to wear allow them to develop a fashion sense. Learning how to dress well and carry oneself is an important skill to learn. For instance, if you are showing for an interview dressing approriately is a crucial thing. Many researches have show that we as human beings involuntarily judge people based on what they are wearing. Therefore, kids learning wearing appropriate apperal based on occasion is benifical.
At last, many institutions are enforcing kids to follow dress codes as there are certain benifits of it like children learning qualitys like equality. However, freedom of expression is far more curcial and certainly outweighs it.
