In recent years, majority of older people are left unattended by their relatives, instead, they are placed in care or nursing homes. While this have several advantages, it also have some negative sides that ruining the family relationship.
The first positive side is that care houses can offer comfortable conditions and right approach. For instance, if the relatives of the elderly people do not have any free time to look after them, members of family can provide the safe and cozy environment by putting them in care centres. In other words, comfortable conditions can reached by not only with help of kins. Furthermore, elderly people have an opportunity to become more socialized and it helps to reduce the loneliness. It means that communication with peers and propare care may help to feel more safe. A good example of this is people who are in the nursing homes have more dialogues and interactions with peers.
On the other hand, the high cost is one of the major drawbacks. In other words, a worthy and qualitative nursing equals large cash and investments that for majority of families is inaccessible. For example, a good nursing centres are costly and for additional services are also paid. Moreover, relocation from native houses to caring centres can negatively impact on their mental healths. For this reason, the level of stress would highly increase. As a result older people might have anxiety, deterioration of mood and even depression.
In conclusion, putting elderly people in the nursing homes may create a convinient occasion and atmosphere which develop communication skills, however, there are still disadvantages, such as not costly efficiency and psychological problems.
