Positive And Negative

Band 6+: In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to the supermarkets and buy food produced all over the world.is it positive developed or negative.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Generally, people are supposed to buy their grocery items from shops, markets, or supermarkets. While some thinkers believe that, it is a positive development, some people think that it has some negative consequences. However, I firmly believe that its positive outputs can outweigh the demerits and I will explain these in the essay.

To begin with, as most underdeveloped and developing countries’ economies mostly depend on agriculture, they can increase their economic condition by selling their agricultural products to developed countries such as the USA, UK, and England. If Bangladesh – for example – exports agricultural products to different developed countries where these products can not meet the needs of their citizens, not only the Bangladeshi economy can rise but also the developed country’s needs will be fulfilled. Moreover, if produced foods can be served all around the world, all people in the world will get all kinds of foods whatever they need to lead a healthy life. For instance, when a country’s people are suffering from a dangerous disease due to a lack of vitamin C and they often spend a lot of money on medicine, they can import lemons, or vitamin C-related foods from other countries which can cure their diseases and save their money.

On the other hand, in spite of having numerous benefits, it has a few demerits too, such as public safety may be hampered. For example, if a product was sold in Russia and it was sent by a cargo ship, any harmful substance such as any chemical, which is harmful to the human body would be mixed with the product, but most of the time companies are aware of this. Furthermore, there is a probability that the products, which will last a long distance, maybe rotten, unhealthy, or unhygienic. Insects -for instance – are likely to get inside the foods or vegetables, as they come from farmland, though authorities use different kinds of preservatives and chemicals to keep them fresh.

To sum up, although there are some negative developments in the idea of having products in the supermarkets which are recently produced, the positive sides outweigh the negativity. Additionally, it can make a country strong financially.
