A rising number of people tending to live by themselves rather than with their families. In my opinion, the main reason for this tendency is a prioritization of personal space and becoming more independent and start making money for living.
Privacy and personal space is the main reason why growing number of people choosing to live alone. While living with family, people are often interrupted or disturbed mostly when they are doing personal things. This leads to frustration and exhaustion. There are some individuals who have to share their rooms with their siblings, leaving no privacy for each other. Often they have no time to do their hobbies or things what they like because of personal space. As a result, this forces them to move out from their families and to live alone.
The will to become independent comes second on the list why people starting to live alone. Living alone is already means to live independently. Once a person starts to live alone, all of the responsibilites of living are on themselves such as- cooking, doing laundry, cleaning and earning money. Before moving out from family, these responsibilites were shared by family members. For instance, cleaning and cooking on mother’s shoudlers, and making income on father’s. Therefore living alone helps to learn new skills, like financial literacy etc.
In conclusion, there are several reasons why living alone is a positive development. The most common reasons are lack of privacy and desire to become independent
