Some people believe that the main purpose of natural resources is to support human development and economic growth, while others argue that it is essential to protect the natural environment and its wildlife, even if it restricts human activity and progress. Although these resources play an essential role in supporting human life, I believe that their use should be carefully managed to minimalise environmental damage.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some people believe that the primary purpose of natural resources, such as forests and rivers, is to support human. For example, water from the river can be used to drink and clean, while wood from trees is the main material to make furnitures and stationaries.
On the other hand, others believe that it is essential to protect the natural environment and its wildlife, even if it restricts human activity and progress. I completely agree with this idea, because even though these resources are very crucial, people still need to be mindful while using it in order to protect this environment. For instance, there are people who is willing to destroy the environment for their own profit, such as burning forests or exploding mining sites. This action is very unnececessary and should be avoided, as this also cause the destruction of animal habitats.
Taking everything into consideration, though natural resources is important to support human development and economic growth, these resources need to be protected. People should not destroy the nature for their own profit, and can only utilise it for important essentials.
