Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly common for people to show off their earnings and spending to others. Talking about their money has become popular in their daily conversations. In my opinion, this trend causes discomfort for people who have shortage of money, that is why I consider this trend has some negative aspects.
One the hand, the reason of showing their money is social media. We all use social media for different aims, for different aims, for example just for fun or just spending time. And in this kind of apps, such as instagram or youtube, people post their happy life, a large amount of money. Then, this creates a desire in people to have their wealth noticed by others, and they gradually get used to talking about their money with friends and relatives. Over the time, this habit spreads from one person to other, leading to a society where money becomes the central focus in people’s lives.
On the other hand, this trend can cause uncomfortable cases for some people. Not evey one has a large amount of money and wealthy life. There are a huge number of people who are suffering from shortage of money. In many countries, there are more people living in hardship than those who are wealthy. If people who struggling financially see others showing off their wealth, they might feel uncomfortable and disheartened. In an era where everyone seems to be chasing, not having enough can be one of the hardest things people go through.
In conclusion, currently, the trend of people showing off their money is becoming more common, and it has turned into a form of social deception. This selfish behavior can cause discomfort in others.
