Band 5+: In many countries, people tend to move overseas or move to a different part of their country after their retirement. Discuss why they do so and what the outcome of this situation is.

Recently, the phenomenon of relocating in a different part of country or moving overseas after retirement becomes more and more popular. This essay would like to look into some of the reasons and some outcomes of this phenomenon.

Obviously, it is reported that there are many reasons for this situation. One primary reason for this trend is lower living cost. This is easy to see because older people often live a saving life which is suitable for them to move to a place having lower living cost after retirement. For example, many older people save a lot of money so that after stop working, they do not need to depend on their child. Another significant reason would be changing life style. This is one of the most reasons for this phenomenon because after spending over half life to work, moving to a new place to take a long rest or follow some new hobbies and interests suggest gardening, knitting which they never tried before. The last reason for this situation is having better healthcare. This is because after retirement, people will attend more to their health. For example, people tend to go to some develop countries where has better healthcare service than in their living place.

With above mentioned things, a lot of outcomes will be highlighted as follow. Clearly, there are some outcomes of this phenomenon. It is predictable to see is increasing quality of life. It is understood when relocating in a new place they can improve their behavior, their physical and metal health or have a comfortable lifestyle. For instance, some people come to a new place and feel suitable with the atmosphere here so that they feel very enjoyable and happiness. The last outcomes is social connections. This is because many people when getting older can face with the isolation. Thus, moving a new place can help them to make more new relationships. Some people also moving to live near their long-time friends to prevent the isolation.
