In recent times, human beings are financially more stable than before. People are spending their money in various activities such as shopping, it is becoming a demandable leisure time activity in the entire world. I believe this is a negative development, as it has encouraged materialistic mindset and discourage to gain treasure trove of knowledge.
There are a number of reasons why shopping replaces conventional hobbies. One possible reason is that people have a plenty of money now. Therefore, they want to spend it enormously. Due to financial ability, they don’t need to think twice to buy a merchant. Another reason is that, people are now too busy with their work schedule. It is hard to find time for traditional activities. Rather they can do online shopping by one click. Some people are so impressionable, so attractive advertising is attract human. The advancement of technology makes easier to business owner marketing their product. As a result, people are getting influence and buy product as much as they want.
Shopping free time activity creates a negative development. Firstly, too much shopping is a waste of money, rather you can donate it to less fortunate people. Secondly, it will impact on their health, due to focus on shopping rather than conventional hobbies makes people to encourage sedentary lifestyle, which will create a various disease such as eye strain, weight gain, headache etc. Finally, it will create materialistic mindset among people. Consequently, society or youngers will get the wrong message about money management.
In conclusion, although shopping is necessary but I firmly believe that it is a negative development as it is affect on individual’s mindset and health.
