In the comtemporary, an increasing number of students do not want to attend some science subjects at schools. There are several reasons for this problem, and it also leads to several connsequense for the development of society.
Students prefer studying other subjects, such as economy or business to choose a science one. This trend is caused by some reasons. To begin with, sciences are difficult to absorb and remember, which makes students endeavor a lot to study. For example, my cousin, who wants to become a biologist, must study from dusk till dawn to finish her experiments and complete researches that she does not have any leisure time for herself. This may lead to pressure and depression if she does not know how to balance her study and relaxing. Furthermore, there are less job-opportunities for this major after graduating. While the needs for job markets paying attention to some specific industries, like marketing or business, careers for sciences are limited that mitigates the attraction from students.
Once the tendency have prolonged for a long time, it would cause some consequences. Firstly, the life quality of humna begings can be affected. It’s explained that when the shortage of labour in science fields happens, new technologies and machines can be alligated, which can’t improve the living conditions of mankinds. Addidtionally, it creates an economic burden for the governments. If students only focus on choosing in-demand jobs, like accountiting, marketing, or other industries, it leads to imbalance among industries, which put more pressure in goverments because they need to hire outsoucre labours to serve for science positions or address some problems regarded to sciences.
In conclusion, there is a couple of reasons for the problem why students are not keen on science subjects, this tendency also has some negative results to the society.
