It is true that the amount of household waste has increased significantly in the recent years. This essay will discuss the reasons behind this phenomenon and then offer some feasible solutions to it.
There are several reasons responsible for this case. Chief among these is the growth in consuming instant foods such as instant noodle, since they are convenient. Those kinds of food are mostly wrapped in plastic, which is the main cause of increasing household waste. Another contributing factor is that people nowadays tend to buy a great number of new clothes, although they do not really need them. This is because they initially think that they will be fashionable by putting on them. Consequently, these suits get older and by far become trash.
To address this issue, people should try to use foods that are packaged in organic materials instead of plastic bags. This change will help to reduce carbon footprint, which keeps the environment clean. For instance, many supermarkets have recently sold vegetables that are wrapped in banana leaves. Moreover, citizens should buy less clothes that are unnecessary. Thus, old clothes can be recycled into new items such as bags or they can be donated to people who are in need. An illustration for this is that as the northern part of Vietnam has recently suffer from a severe storm, many people from all over this country donate essential items to the northern residents, including clothes.
In conclusion, I argue that the increasing amount of household wastes is a major issue that can negatively affects the environment. However, steps can be taken to address this situation.
