In numerous countries, the distinction between wealthy and poor is becoming wider.
This essay will examine the main causes of this trend and discuss its effects on individuals and society
One of the main causes that have gaps between them is education opportunities. To elaborate, people who are lower class do not have enough money to pay for their studying courses or training. In fact, low-income households can afford only nutrition and clothing, other things such as education scholarships come from government programs. For example, preparing for entrance exams is becoming expensive over time even more than the average monthly salary. The low-income people cannot pay for these courses because of lack of money. Another contributing factor is upper class people already have their own wealth and they can easily start their own businesses or invest in others. Of course, it is not useful starting for lower class individuals whose income only goes to their living.
This trend can have several significant effects. One major consequence is unemployment among economically disadvantaged people. They have not advanced knowledge and experience to work in the high salary workplace. As a result, working in manual labour would be the best option for them because they do not need high educational qualifications. Another effect is large differences in wealth can create dissatisfaction among lower-income groups. For instance, upper class groups can afford anything that they want such as a new car, a new house, the latest iPhone model. This may lead to greater social division and conflict between two different types of people.
In conclusion, the gap between rich and poor people is mainly caused by unequal access to education and differences in income levels. This can result in unemployment among poorer households and greater social inequality.
