The government introduces the budget every year, subsequently the expenditure on public transport is also reveled. where as some countries provide enough of focus over transportation department but some does. seemingly it sparks the debate between the supporter to advancement happening in public transportation whereas, some concede. In the following passage, will try to spark light on whether tax payer money shall be used for the same or for some other betterment.
Public transport in some countries in major means of transportation. Simply because of the numerous reasons, such as easy travelling, less crowded, security, reliability and schemes. The variety of the transportation like, buses, metro, railways, and to some extent small golf kart in some peculiar estates which are under the control of government. Reason to opt for a public transport in because of the convenience it has to offer to traveller such the arrival and departure time is confirmed by the government body responsible for that mode of transportation. Apparently when you consider the metro, it is also consider safe mode of transportation for daily travelling. The government body is not just only entitled to running these services but also to make sure of the security of it. In country like India it is considered to be the safest mode of transportation since it is guarded by the CSIF. The organisation which is government by the central government of India. The amalgam of the state and centre make it even more reliable option already because of the women’s seat quota. Which is every first coach in moving direction is designated as the women’s coach, no male passenger in allowed. Buses another mode of transportation is also good and sound enough of females as it offer free services to women of state for inter city travelling. last but not least, these all facilities are made in such a way that in keeps the regard of the differently abled people.
Despite the advantages and benefits public transportation has to offer, there should be proper management of fund allocation on how to be allotted to each department. Thus making sure of not over spending a particular sector in-order to provide a single service. Significant work should be in every sector for the unanimous development of the nation. Asset management will lead to improving the infrastructure of only the existing but new estates. Apart from this, overlooking the budget, scheme and policies would be a better option to look upon. Areas of focus could be education, empowering girls, sanitation, availability to best institutional expertise to young graduates and pension plans. Therefore executing all this would be a greater propulsion to government endorsement and reflection of care towards the citizen.
In conclusion, I believe that the government should rather prioritise other advantageous program than putting all the money in a single project of public transportation. Therefore, country should decide itself on which sector to empower first and then substantively overlook other departments.
