It is an undeniable fact that unemployment concern is widespread at an alarming rate. However, In many regions, youth unemployment issue is rapidly accelerating. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will discuss the main causes and some practical solutions to mitigate this problem.
On the one hand, a major cause of unemployment is overpopulation. To explain, due to overpopulation workplaces are more demanding. Companies does not want skills but also previous experience in the candidates but the modern generation lack this qualities. As a result, when employees want to hire 4 candidates, they receive 20 applications for one work and it increasing wider competition in workplaces. Furthermore, another primary cause is lack of work opportunities in the underdeveloped areas. To elaborate further, the demand of work in growing but no availability of industries and factories in many areas. Thus, all these factors responsible for excessive youth unemployment. For example, company wants to hire a young secruity guard as they receive around 30 applications irrespective of all age groups including older age people.
On the other hand, to tackle this issue, higher authorites and educational institutes can take combined action. Firstly, colleges should add job specific skills and soft skills in curiculum. Despite of syllabus, must provide practical knowledge in vocational fields, and after graduation also provide job placement for students. For instance, universtities must include vocational subjects such as electricity, plumbing , construction and gardening. Moreover, governments should develop more construction sites, factories and companies in the underprivileged areas so, that youngsters can easily find jobs according to education background.
In conclusion, although employment plays a significant role in every individual’s life, nowadays, people face various challenges while finding it. To combat this issue, governments should reserve industrail area to construct more offices and companies.
