It is widely believed that in many countries, many people prefer working remotely. From my perspective, this more have disadvantages than advantages. For example, people will communicate less with each other. Also people might dependent on their smarphones, which is significantly harmful for people’s health. Furthermore, employers could be left without staff.
One of the main reasons is that, if people do not go to the office, they will less interact with each other, which reduces work efficiency. For instance, employees might dependent on their phones, which is harmful for their health, if they do not go out every day. Besides, it is convenient to work remotely, because personalities do not have to go out or even sitting in one place from morning till night. As a result, in the future many workers might be changed their work from home, which is opportune for people, but detrimental for environment.
Another important reason is that, employers could stay without workers and city will be empty. If most people work from home, they will rarely go to the city center or use cafes, shops, and public transport. As a result, cafes, restaurants, shops, and office buildings may lose their customers. However, remote work can save employees time and money because they do not need to commute. But if too many people work from home there might be serious issues like less interaction, fewer people in cities and problems with businesses.
In conclusion, although working remotely has some drawbacks, I believe that it has more privilege, such as less communication between people and negative effects on businesses and cities.
