Nowadays, less and less teenagers are involved in global news and issues, spending minimal time in front of tv and reading newspapers. This behavior can be reflected by numerous factors and reasons from ordinary avoidance of bad things, happening all over the world, to a lack of access or interest. Providing more relevant topics and giving access to them can solve the problem of uninvolved in news young people.
Firstly, teenagers tend to be overwhelmed with negative news, absorbing useless information regarding political or other issues. They try to escape from the negative which harms their mental health. As a majority of current headlines Imposes only bad feelings on citizens, making them avoid the news at all. Creating a more attractive and friendly atmosphere on the net will allow to lure more people.
Secondly, poor access to social media makes it impossible to get currently needed information. It, in turn, deprives young people of interest in community issues. Moreover, news stories often feel distant and irrelevant to teenagers’ lives, focusing on adult concerns that don’t seem to impact them directly. Submitting more relevant and entertaining content like new innovations, investigations, and sports will attract students to some extent.
In conclusion, our goal is to make news accessible, relevant and engaging for teenagers. By addressing their concerns and providing positive experiences, we can encourage them to become informed citizens.
