It is an irrefutable fact that waste management issue is widespread among different developing nations. It rises not only environmental pollution but also health problems. In the upcoming paragraphs, I will examine several causes and some practical solutions.
The primary reason is that, due to changing the lifestyle and habits of ordinary people. First and foremost, in fast-paced world, everyone wants comfortable and convenient life. To explain, people prefer single-use items in regular basis and after one use, people cannot reuse again and dump in dustbins. As a result, the waste material is excessively increased in open areas, water-bodies and streets. It is polluting water, soil and air because rubbish takes hundred years to degradation especially plastic bags, soft drinks bottles and cans. Additionally, it contributes to many health diseases like hinder breathing and heart problems. For example, in metropolitan cities, open areas are covered with unhygienic old clothes, plastic papers and straws. Furthermore, nowadays, availability of the products easily and unexpensive as compared to past. So, people prefer to shop more products frequently and this trend also responsible for more wastage.
On the other hand, to tackle this issue, individuals and governments should take collective actions. Firstly, people should avoid plastic items and if they buy occasionally, reuse them for various purposes like to storage of items, and for decoration works. Secondly, authorities should aware society about eco-friendly waste managememt techniques through seminars, lectures and campaigns, while fetal consquences of rubbish.
In conclusion, although, waste concern is indeed difficult to manage alone, people and higher authorities need to work all together to overcome this scenario. Moreover, people need to stop shopping for unnecessary things.
