Nowadays, many teenagers have a lot of pressure at school. They need to do homework, complete assignments and prepare for exams. I partly agree that teenagers experience too much academic pressure because it can cause stress and tiredness. However, some pressure can also help students stay motivated.
On the one hand, too much academic pressure can have a negative effect on teenagers. Students often have a large workload and many deadlines. Because of this, they may not have enough free time to relax, sleep well or spend time with their family and friends. For example, if a student has several tests and assignments in one week, they may feel very stressed and have problems with concentration. As a result, their academic performance can become worse. Therefore, schools should not give students more work than they can reasonably manage.
On the other hand, a certain amount of pressure can be useful for students. It can motivate them to study regularly and take their education seriously. For example, deadlines can encourage students to manage their time and finish their assignments on time. Exams can also motivate teenagers to revise their lessons and improve their knowledge. Moreover, learning to work under some pressure can be useful for students in higher education and their future careers.
In conclusion, I believe that teenagers can experience too much academic pressure when they have a very large workload and many school responsibilities. This can lead to stress and poor concentration. However, some academic pressure is necessary because it helps students stay motivated and develop good study habits. Schools should therefore try to find a balance between students’ academic work and their free time.
