Nowadays, students face academic pressure at school. I strongly agree with this statement because academic demands can negatively affect students’ health. Academic pressure refers to the heavy workload imposed by the curriculum, which can be difficult for students to manage on their own.
First of all, academic pressure has a negative impact on teenagers’ mental health. It can cause stress and lead to anxiety. For instance, students spend a lot of time preparing for exams and revising study materials. As a result, they may not have enough time for relaxation, which can negatively affect their personal growth and motivation. If the academic environment does not help students develop their skills and build confidence, teenagers may feel exhausted and experience emotional distress.
Moreover, students may also experience physical health problems due to academic pressure. They often do not get enough sleep because they spend too much time studying. This can reduce their ability to concentrate. As a result, their cognitive performance may decline if they continue to study without sufficient rest. Teenagers generally need around eight to ten hours of sleep per night to maintain their health and achieve good academic results. If they do not maintain a healthy routine, their physical health and academic performance may suffer.
To sum up, I strongly believe that academic pressure has a negative impact on students’ mental and physical health because it can cause stress, reduce concentration and lead to anxiety and other mental health problems.
