In many parts of the world, it is argued by certain schools of thought that authorities should allocate more funds on railway stations rather than highways such as roads. From my perspective, I completely agree with this notion simply because availability of more rail lanes provides comfort and safety for the users. The forthcoming paragraphs will elucidate more on this phenomenon.
To begin with, in this contemporary era, it is believed by most individuals that governments are spending excess money on construction of road networks to promote easy access to destinations and reduce traffic. However, some folks are of the opinion that these revenues should be diverted to more creation of rail lines. I solely agree with the latter ideology due to the fact that, having numerous railway systems will promote the comfortability of the commuters in the sense that, trains are large enough to accommodate people who commute on a daily basis and most of the seats are structured in a convenient way. In addition, most of the public transports such as buses and taxis are less spacious. On top of that, nowadays, more people travel on a regular basis and insufficient of these means of transport discourage people. Therefore, I believe having an array of these systems will allow trains to be utilized which will occupy the mass of people.For example, In the year 2023, an interview was carried out with some of the commuters in Lagos state of Nigeria, these individuals expressed their grievances on the hurdles they encountered with road transportation.Hence, i believe the well being of the society should be considered while implementing an innovation.
Moreso, road transport has been the root cause of more production of cars and usage in recent times, When roads networks are built, it will lead to an increase in the number of vehicles on the lane, and this initiative will have a devastating impact on humanity and the ecological system as a whole, as there will be high emissions of CO2 from exhaust fumes from trucks and other automobile and this will massively contributes to the green house effects thereby leading to global warming. Furthermore, the inhalation of these noxious gases causes deleterious effects on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems of humans. So I think, authorities should consider budgeting a substantial amount on railway projects and create public awareness on its utilization as this will promote quality life and safe community.
In conclusion, Although certain scholars opine that states should focus on constructing more roads for people. I disagree that this suggestion should not be implemented as society’s satisfaction and wellness should be prioritized.
