In this essay, I would discuss some reasons such as the lack of educational expedient, the dependence on their age or the affection of social media. To punish these young offenders, the government should provide juvenile training camps to help them rehabilitate and apply hásher punishments for those having recidivism.
Addressing the initial question, one of the main reasons is the lack of parental supervision in some families. When parents are busy with their own careers and face financial burden, they leave their children in an environment where they do not have adequate guidance and emotional support. Therefore, teenagers’ brains can evoke some misconceptions gradually. Sometimes, this phenomenon is also due to wrong educational expedient from parents. Another reason is some students depend on the fact that they are not yet old enough to be held criminally responsible and their family disguise their conduct. While others might be affected by social media such as aggressive and violence videos, distorting their awareness and judgement about society.
Turning to the second question, there are some practical approaches that can be considered to punish these young criminals. Firstly, the government should provide juvenile training camps in some regions. Young offenders are still in the process of developing their cognitive ability, so that well-timed correction can change their behaviours. Educational initiative, psychological counseling and even community service programs can help them recognize their wrongdoing and give them opportunity to reintegrate into society. Furthermore, there are some exceptions who put the guards into a dilemma or having recidivism and remorselessness. In that situation, hasher punishments should be applied; also, depending on the severity of the violation, the time limit might be extended. After a few years, when they are up to eighteen, they should be sent to prison and continue to pay the price for their misdeed.
