Cause And Solution

Band 8+: In many professional sports, there is an increase in the number of athletes using banned substances to improve their performance. What are the causes of the phenomenon and what are some of the possible solutions?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the modern professional sports field, there is a rising trend among sportsmen of taking doping drugs in order to boost physical performance. This phenomenon is predominantly caused by a lack of resources allocated to medical staff and poor recognition of moral values within society. The most effective solutions are the introduction of large-scale financing projects for testing departments and advertisement campaigns against the abuse of illicit drugs.

The primary cause of this problem is the mismanagement and poor decision-making practiced by those in higher administrative positions, specifically the organizers of sports events. CEOs often neglect funding for their medical facilities and tend to prioritize other needs, resulting in a deficit of the equipment necessary for conducting medical examinations. For instance, due to widespread corruption among local sports tournament organizers in India, medical staff did not receive adequate funding and were therefore unable to carry out basic operations such as blood contaminant examinations. Another reason for the occurrence of this phenomenon is a lack of awareness of ethical norms within a nation, as the public does not receive sufficient education on the negative impact of such practices.

A feasible solution is the productive allocation of the budget, which should be invested in acquiring high-quality equipment and developing a sufficient working environment. Placing the most efficient and up-to-date technology in laboratories, such as MRI scanners, upgrades the quality of services. Another solution is the introduction of mass-scale advertisement campaigns in the media that aim to promote the condemnation of practices such as the use of prohibited chemicals.

In conclusion, the primary reasons behind this issue are the inefficiency of tournament organizers and the lack of public education, and the most suitable solutions are the expansion of funding programs and the fostering of a more morally enlightened culture
