In most thriving enterprises, opinions are divided on whether communication between employers and workers or other vital factors, such as relationships with colleagues or soft skills, are more important. From my perspective, although both schools of thought offer certain advantages, I am more inclined towards the latter perspective.
On the one hand, communication between employees and their superiors can help to develop workplace harmony, enabling companies to succeed and prosper. Specifically, when employers and workers communicate more effectively, they are more likely to understand each other’s personalities and working styles. This approach can indirectly boost organizational unity and strengthen teamwork through mutual understanding, allowing employees to work more synergistically with others. As a result, effective teamwork can help an enterprise operate efficiently. However, this view is only valid when workers possess similar levels of technical competence, which is a crucial factor in workplace performance. Especially in today’s fast-paced society, some individuals may struggle to keep pace with others due to the rapid advancement of technology, causing skill gaps that undermine workplace harmony.
On the other hand, for a company to achieve long-term success, management must ensure high-quality recruitment practices. A telling example is requiring candidates to possess relevant degrees or internationally recognized qualifications for specific roles. Furthermore, companies should provide new employees with on-site training programs and assessments to ensure their professional competence. Consequently, a highly skilled workforce can be cultivated, significantly enhancing the company’s reputation and helping it thrive.
Additionally, enterprises must place a premium on effective marketing strategies. For most companies, consumers are the top priority, so understanding their preferences and expectations is a major competitive advantage. A clear example is Apple, which continuously innovates digital devices such as smartphones and laptops. By surveying and collecting consumer feedback after product launches, the company maintains a high customer retention rate by refining and developing products that meet market demand. Not only has this approach driven its growth, but it has also enabled the company to expand globally.
In conclusion, although communication between employers and employees is undeniably beneficial for organizational development, it is equally evident that other critical factors, such as workforce quality and strategic planning, are essential for a company’s success.
