Relationship between personal achievements and equality is growing significantly. Some people think that equality can result in success of individuals whereas other believe that Individual should be free to succeed or fail according to their specific abilities. This essay would discuss both perspectives before presenting my opinion.
On one hand, equality plays crucial role in life of people. Egalitarian society treats everybody equally resulting in more prosperous society. It would also help individual in fostering confidence and would have favourable impact on their mental health. For instance, nobody will be stressed out for competing with others because of equality. Moreover, there would be no arguments regarding class between privileged and underprivileged individuals because everyone would be treated equally.
On the other hand, Individual should be free to succeed and fail because everyone has their own skills and abilities. For example, one who is good in singing may find it difficult to play sports and succeed in it. Furthermore, people work hard to win competition whereas in egalitarian community, nobody would work hard because there will be no win no loss. In addition nobody would practice to excel a skill because of egalitarian society where one cannot succeed without others.
To sum up, I agree that equality provide a prosperous and healthy atmosphere by treating all income classes equally. However, with different skills and abilities people should be free to work hard and compete with one another to achieve success or failure. A balanced approach should be made where equality should be adopted in treating people while everyone should be free to achieve success according to their merits.
