Band 5+: In some countries, celebs earn more than senior politicians. what are the reasons? Is this a positive or a negative development?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In many countries like USA, Australia, UK etc., their celebs get more pay than senior politicians. There are several factors responsible for his phenomenon. However, I believe this is a negative development overall.

Among the several reasons, firstly, all the celebrity worked from really young age and had to work hard day and night to maintain their talent, even though few of them can only be successful celebrity. Secondly the time span for their earning is very low and neither of them have pension like other official jobs.

However, the big difference in earning between politicians and celebs is too much noticeable which makes a negative impact on society. First, because of less pay, politicians, shirk their work. they don’t invest their time fully on public services. General public suffer because of these., which cause really a bad effect on society.

Another drawback is that politicians trapped into corruption. They started to show interest in illegal money as they are not getting enough pay even though they are sacrificing their family, time privacy whole life for other people’s sake. For example, In Singapore’s president earns $1.7 million a year which is higher than USA ‘s presidents and its leads them to less corruption mentality. Additionally, seen to be attract newer and more talents. Hence, more pay can produce more productivity. Furthermore, politicians also have less career time span, neither they have long time period to earn nor has pension after getting retired as like celebs. So, they also deserve high pay like any other celebrities.

Summing up, I reiterate my opinion saying that celebs have more earning than any other senior politicians which is a negative aspect for any society.

It is often argued that foreign languages should be a compulsory part of the primary school curriculum. Above all, the primary years are when children are most receptive to new […]
