Governments in many countries are suggesting businesses and industries to relocate to countryside away from large cities. In my point of view, the advantages of such approach outmatch any potential disadvantages due to several reasons related to it.
On the one hand, a relocation of businesses and industries outside big cities may arise many inconveniences for workers in terms of getting to work. The workers will spend a lot of time on their way just to arrive to the dedicated place. There is always a risk to come late to work and take a disciplinary notification from the line manager. However, moving away such industries outside large cities may significantly reduce the traffic congestion and the traffic loads in these cities. Many plants have a large number of workers who should reach their workplace in the specific timeframe; therefore, it may create many problems for residents living around.
On the other hand, some industries are not eco-friendly, and they may pollute the air around with various emissions. It is a well-known fact that residents who live near heat power stations, and other harmful plants are sick more frequently than people who live quite far from these plants. Moreover, there are potential risks of some critical equipment explosions and fire cases that might be occur and distribute to the housings located nearby. There are many cases when gasoline and oil contained tanks were exploded and elements that fell apart damaged multiple houses around as well as municipal facilities.
Overall, all things considered, I believe that the advantages of the harmful businesses and industries relocation outside of big cities outweigh any potential disadvantages.
