In many nations, the average weight of citizens has ramped up rapidly, whereas their health status has degraded simultaneously. To explain this tendency, there are many reasons, but the most significant reason is the existence of fast food restaurant. Fortunately, some proposals to address this problem include promoting people having more active lifestyle and limiting the number of fast food stores in the country.

Regarding the causes of the rise in people’s weight, many people might instanly think about the presence of fast food brands such as McDonald, KFC, etc, which is the main cause of this issue. In fact, when people’s lives are getting more hectic and do not have enough time to prepare their meals, they might choose buying junk food, rather than cooking by themselves as fast food requires less time to be served. In other words, junk food is more convenient than self-prepared meals, and people may buy and eat fast food more often. Despite its convenience, fast food often contains more calories and fat which can directly raise people’s weight. Thus, citizens might be obesity and getting health degradation.

As the main cause is the presence of fast food stores, many nutrient experts have proposed some measures relating to fast food to the government who have authority to solve this problems. Firstly, the govenment can foster people to being more active by building more gymnasiums or parks where people can work out there. Additionally, the authorities should publicise the negative effect of obesity to the public as a way to raise people awareness of overweight. Secondly, it is recommended that the government should restrict the number of stores that sell junk food. This can indirectly decrease people’s weight as stores are rarer to find and thus making it less convenient.

To sum up, although the ubiquity of fast food stores has indirectly increased people’s weight and degrade their health simultaneously, some resolutions for this issue include fostering the active lifestyle and restricting the number of junk food stores in the area in order to solve this problem thoroughly.
