In today’s world, I believe that providing a well-rounded education is far more crucial than focusing on a narrow rage of subjects related to a specific career path. And there are some reason for the importance of general education in seconday schools.
Firstable, It is clear that being eduacated focus on a specific career is not effective for every single person. At the first place, children should discover what their potential ability is and develop theirs so they can chose their career based on their capability. I have seen the number of people who have concerns regardless of their age or their career period.
Second, it is also essential to know their strengths and drawbacks and the general education will teach them. In my experience, I was good at english, while I was tend to not like studying math. So, I could realize what should I study in University, which is Literature. However, what if I don’t have any chance to figure out that I don’t like math? I dare chose to study math in University to know if I’m good at it, which is a disaster. In many cases, adults who have a lot of experience in their career while didn’t get any chance to learn general skills or subjects cannot sure if they want to keep their job and confused. Since they still believe their possibility. Also they couldn’t eliminate their dream which doesn’t make sense when they are younger.
Overall, it is obvious that figuring out children’s posibility and chosing their jobs based on their strength is effective for reducing confusion.
