Through the freedom of information, citizens can assess the situation and have the opportunity to form their views. Another reason can be that seeing to criminal on trail might act as a deterrent to others complaining crime since through trials, people see that the crime cannot escape punishment. This will stop people who plan to make a crime, and turn them away from the crime. The openness of the trial shows that there is justice in society and serves as an important tool in the fight against crime.
On the other hand , I agree with the viewpoint that general public can watch. Firstly I believe that public and media pressure might influence the outcome because people’s opinions, protests, or messages in the press There is a possibility of pressure on the court or investigative authorities.
