Nowadays, some countries are facing decreasing in listening music or playing local music in young generation. This essay will explore why this is not keen on tenageers and some reasons why it should be encouraged.
Perhaps, globalitation has a negative impact on traditional music. Firstly, music industry from other countries can enter easily among other countries. In other words, the target of audience who listen or play for young people; so, many industries make a song easily to listen and meaningful. A good illustration for this is that korean music will be renowned ough to not only to show an interesting appearance and following with modern dancing but also they have a good strategy to make their song well-known. Furthermore, fewer music industries, in more countries, adopt a style of music from overseas. As a result, the local music will disappear in some countries.
On the other hand, it might be said that encouraging tenageers to preserve traditional music must be a consideration for some reasons. As can be said, traditional music is an identity for some countries. For instance, my country has original music from each region; in east Indonesia, Central Java, east java, and other regions have different local music. In short, a good collaboration between music industry and society will make younger generation interested in local music. Consequently, the value of traditional music will not disseapeare.
To sum up, persuading the young generation to preserve traditional music should be done because globalitation brings about drawbacks for industry music in some countries.
