In this modern era, classical music has become less and less appealing among adolescents while modern music has had an opposite trend. This phenomenon is caused by several objective reasons, but in the upcoming time, this type of music should be recommended to be played by this age group.

The dispreference of this form is resulted from 3 main reasons. First and foremost, modern music is dominating the music market thanks to its exciting rhythm and modern-life correlation. What is more, there are virtually no changes, which are up-to-date and suit the young people’s taste in this music performance. That is because classical music is quite strict in terms of lyrics and meaning, and the singers often belong to the older generations. Moreover, the government seems not to concentrate on this type of music too much when it is in lack of investment.

In my point of view, traditional music should be popularized among young people owing to its merits. The first one is that it plays an important role in retaining traditional, cultural, and moral values. It is undeniable that its lyrics were composed for a long time and contain a number of profound messages. The second one is that it may help nurture their soul, keep them in line as well as relieve their stress.

In conclusion, classical music is no longer a priority choice for entertainment due to modern music’s dominance, its nature, and the lack of government investment. From my perspective, adolescents should be encouraged to play this kind of music thanks to its values and inspiration.
