In a modern world there are plenty of activities available to the young people. They include both typical ones as enjoy the outdoors, dance or music and digital or online options. Obviously the role of the traditional leisure activities is decreasing nowadays among young people and personally I don’t see any big problem about it.
To begin with, technologies have become an integral part of our life and children have now a possibility to receive new information and explore the world in a very fast and easy way. You don’t necessarily have to go to the music hall to listen to music or see a famous signer, yoou have everything online and even available in a live mode. This might be frightening and at the same time exciting. So I think this is a development stage and right now the young generation is getting adapted to it.
Secondly, the statistics doesn’t really count people who prefer to burn calories and keep fit at home or dancing and other activities alone. I’ve noticed the tendency among young people to be more introverted, they frequently choose bedtime reading or binge watch rather than to hang out with friends.
To sum up, I strongly believe the reduction of traditional activities among young people is not really a negative development and we are witnessing a gradual transformation of society and people’s ways to have a blast.
