In today’s dynamic world, there is a growing trend towards children’s development. Numerous caretakers often encourage their children to work hard for success. The narrative ahead shall discuss merits and demerits before reaching a well-grounded conclusion.

Commencing with the benefits, the first and foremost benefit is a sense of independence. To illustrate, if younger ones try hard to fulfill their goals, they become self-dependent and concentrated towards their dreams. For example, a well-known cricketer, Hardik Pandya, who faced financial challenges when he was a child but he never gave up on his dream of becoming cricketer. His father strengthened his confidence by telling him that, “success comes from hard work and confidence not just talent”, which later resulted in he became one of the world’s top cricket players. Moreover, another merit is a sense of positivity and self-satisfaction. Children have strength to achieve whatever they want if they get proper guidance and motivation from their parents. Hence, it is a prudent approach to foster positive thoughts and self-belief.

However, it has some detrimental impacts on children’s lives. A primary one is that youngsters may feel pressurized environment by giving this message. Teenagers are likely to enjoy their life by themselves and may not want the advice from anyone. In such cases, they may feel forced to work hard or step out their comfort zones. Furthermore, it can enhance a sense of selfishness as children can become more self-oriented and have jealousy towards their competitors, which results in bond-break or limited social connections.

In conclusion, strengthening youngsters is beneficial to make them independent and for enhancing positivity and self-belief, while it can seem pressurized and can boost a feeling of jealousy among them.
