Self-centredness is becoming more widespread in many parts of the developed world. While isolation from society and indifference to others are the obvious problems of selfishness, different steps could be taken by both governments and individuals to tackle the situation.
The one major problem is humans’ displacement in focusing on their ambitions and personal goals rather than building a healthy environment. Self-focused people become more socially isolated and lose communication skills, which is principal in the modern world. If the government made fascinating events, volunteer work, and social groups such as markets, film clubs, and charity organizations and encouraged to join them, people would feel like an instrumental social unit.
Secondly, a lack of concern about friends, relatives, and colleagues can cause tension which provides anger and aggression, leading to losing touch with them and no longer having empathy and compassion for each other. For instance, were people to aware of mental issues, they would understand that liaising with a group of their age is important for their mental health. in addition, the government should ensure citizens with free psychological help.
in conclusion, there are plenty of problems from losing social skills to mental health problems which can be issues of being self-focused. However, some solution methods may bring human being’s social life.
