Not only has Canada welcomed millions of immigrants but also provided them with the possibility of a bright future. Although this has caused several crises such as housing and job opportunities, I believe that foreign workers are needed in Canada. A number of arguments will surround my opinion.
To begin with, the population of native Canadians is relatively small compared to the area of the nation. Due to this fact, there aren’t enough workers in job fields such as health care and construction which also affect the nation’s economy. non-natives settlers whether they’re students or work permit holders help in raising the financial stability, for they pay fees and taxes. Additionally, they also fulfil the lack of labour workers. These people bring different talents from their back country. To demonstrate, there aren’t enough people to handle the IT sections on this land. People from countries like Taiwan and India can help in both running the system efficiently and filling up vacancies.
In the same way, these millions of immigrants aid in maintaining Canada’s both economies and defence state. There is a saying which goes like, there is more strength in numbers. In order to keep the population stable, foreigners contribute a lot as they raise their Canadian born infants. Canada should open its arms to such men as they benefit the country otherwise it won’t be long before Canada takes a backseat in the world competition.
On the contrary, the government is having concerns about a number of issues which are caused by rising population. For example, it is now harder to find a work position as there will be 200 applicants for one simple task. The accommodation system along with the healthcare system is also lacking as some individuals are forced to sleep in their cars. Only 25% of families have family doctors. However, this is happening because of the overwhelming feeling. As there are many medical international students along with builders and mechanics, this particular problem will soon be resolved.
To sum up, this situation has its own take downs along with a few good points, but the merits that are brought by immigrants to this country outweigh the demerits.
