In today’s world, communication skills play a vital role with the use of many technological devices, such as mobile and social media apps. Thus, many employees lost their soft skills, like communication face-to-face and working in teams. In the following paragraph, I’ll be discussing the problems with digital devices and why this is the case and how to develop soft skills.
To begin with, it is truly demonstrated that many workers want to use a lot of electrical gadgets. They are always engaging in conversation with each other with message texts on social media platforms like Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp Messenger, which truly affect their soft skills. For that reason, they have problems when they are trying to communicate face-to-face. As an example, our country is Bangladesh. A few decades ago, people wanted to prefer communication with each other when they were working together. Now, they have a lot of problems when they work together because it is only for communications tools.
Secondly, a couple of years ago, when COVID-19 was spreading throughout the world and people were suffering a lot of depression, they stayed home many times, and afterwards, many employees worked on mobile devices and personal electronic devices, which impacted their extensive career paths. For that, they lost their communication skills along with their teamwork. Despite some drawbacks about the soft skills, not only many workers lost their soft skills but also their confidence in communication. Moreover, all of these drawbacks significantly impact many employees professional and personal lives.
In conclusion, employees’ career pathways are being overtaken by communications technologies like mobile devices, which is causing them to lose their ability to communicate and collaborate in teams. They are reliant on electronic devices. In fact, they must require in-person interactions when working in the field without the use of electronic devices.
