There are different kinds of patterns to gain knowledge today, except the teacher’s influence. However, that not indicates teachers are no longer important in the modern education.Thus, in my opinion, teachers are one of information source.
Some people think students have a wide source of information today, such as students can make use of the Internet to obtain more information. With the development of science and technology, AI is more and more popular in public, which students can use it searching any information they want to know, even more extensive information can be gained. For instance, undergraduate students are able to utilize AI to write their thesis and then altering based on it, including add their own viewpoint. Although this method is intelligent, students will lose the ability of independent thinking and may be quite different from our real life.
Therefore, I argue that teachers are still the main source of information. For one thing, teachers teach knowledge to us and give us more useful information that we are truly able to make use of in our education. It follows that AI cannot provide the field research, for example, in humanities and social sciences, it is most significant for us to do some social practice and investigation with the guidance of teachers. For another, in science and engineering, students need to be instructed to conduct some experiments and increase the ability of some relevant data analysis.This shows teachers can correct our mistakes more promptly and make us get greater progress.
In my conclusion, in spite of students have a wide source of information, I tend to believe that teachers’ importance about information source are not to be neglected.
