People dream of getting an education in European countries. Back in time pupils would complete their higher education in their homeland while in recent times they have many opportunities available to study in different countries. In my essay, I will discuss some of the merits of completing higher education abroad with some negative points of leaving your homeland.
To commence with, moving abroad increases their chances of employment. The education system of many countries is very competent, when children receive a degree from a world-recognized institute, it creates more job opportunities for them. They can either find a good job in the country they are getting educated or return to their base and get employed there. So, it creates more chances for pupils.
Secondly, foreign countries broadens their horizons. When students go to a new country, they meet different people having different culture and language. This encourages them to learn about many new ethnicities, and they can also adopt some if they like. This increases their social circle too and helps form relations with people.
On the contrast, when young student leaves their land they seldom return. A student studying abroad develops a life style according to that place. They find settling their more convenient than returning to their country. This affects the country negatively as young people, who are the future of the country are settling abroad. As a result, this will decrease the speed of development of the country.
To conclude, even their are lots of demerits of students completing their education in modern countries than their own country, the advantages outweighs the disadvantages. Therefore, positive impacts of moving abroad should be promoted.
