In today’s fast changing world its vital to have good communication skills at young age.But there is a doubt that says primary school students should start learning a new language at secondary school.While both of these ideas have their own value its hard to support only one of them.
Linguistic skills are actually not easy to master at young age,but children should stretch their mind and should have base about the language which they are learning.While some students struggle to be taught a foreign language there are children who want to grasp all language secrets non-stop.Its a huge advantage to be eager for something that is hard to achieve.Therefore primary schools should impart basic rules of a new language to children.
On the other hand,older students can flow well logically on structure and grammar than younger ones.Therefore,they will have advantage of being able to connect a foreign language to other academic subjects.It helps a lot gradually to improve their conversation skills.
Additionally,starting a new language at young age can cause earl exposure of language which means they will get tired of what they are doing easily.
To conclude,although primary schools can have better early age advantages such as flexible brain on learing a new language,secondary schools got upper hand at teaching logical flow and grammaticak structures.
